Hidden in plain sight
Sometimes the things that are hardest to find are right under our noses. This is certainly true of Silver Charm, a little nook of a Thai restaurant located on the Valley’s busy Wickham Street – although how your nose could miss the sweet, sweet aromas emanating from here is anyone’s guess. This restaurant is a family affair, which translates to warm and welcoming service – once you become a regular, waiter Anne will remember your favourites and helpfully suggest new dishes in line with your taste. The food here is unpretentious and delicious, served in large quantities (the laksas serves are enormous) and pleasingly priced at the $10 to $15 mark. Duck in for a quick beef massaman and you’ll certainly appreciate the Charm.
